Renée Zellweger will finally direct a movie for people who have been waiting for Renée Zellweger to direct a movie

For those who have been watching Renée Zellweger's acting career with impatience, wondering when she would finally lend her particular sensibilities, whatever those may be, to directing, today is the day that you are cathartically released from your self-made prison. Variety reports that Zellweger will soon make her directorial debut on 4 1/2 Minutes, a film loosely based on the life of comedian Dov Davidoff, in which Johnny Knoxville plays a struggling, "commitment-phobic" stand-up comic who gets his literal and metaphorical act together by babysitting the "genius son" of a single mother, played by Renée Zellweger.  Will Johnny Knoxville finally learn to laugh and love? Will Zellweger basically just reprise her role from Jerry Maguire? Will Panavision make Zellweger a special camera with a narrower, squintier viewfinder? So many questions, all of them mean.
