Web Therapy (Showtime, 11 p.m.): Showtime sees your summertime-TV blahs and offers this prescription: The second season of the online import starring Lisa Kudrow as a pioneer in the field of over-the-web head-shrinking. Take 27 minutes weekly and read Brandon Nowalk’s review in the morning.

Teen Wolf (MTV, 10 p.m.): The hard part of protecting your loved ones from a shapeshifter is, you know, that whole shapeshifting thing. The shapeshifter could be posing as anyone! Even those you’re trying to protect! Even Phil Dyess-Nugent!

Lost Girl (Syfy, 10 p.m.): “Can’t See The Fae-rest”: Really, Lost Girl? That’s your episode title? Are you trying to drive Kevin McFarland mad? Though, after so many “fae” puns, that might be fae-rly easy.

The West Wing (11 a.m.): In which President Bartlet’s performance in the debate with Governor Ritchie rests on the status of his “lucky tie.” Not that Steve Heisler wants to ruffle the feathers of history’s greatest fake president, but maybe Looney Tunes neckwear is inappropriate for an event of such magnitude.

Batman: The Animated Series (1 p.m.): Oliver Sava comes to the final episode of Batman: The Animated Series’ second season, spending one last half-hour with The Dynamic Duo, Batgirl, Joker, Two-Face, Penguin, and Catwoman before jumping back to Justice League. Oh, Joker—Oliver will miss you most of all.

Strangers With Candy (3 p.m.): The State’s Thomas Lennon makes his only appearance as a credited writer on Strangers With Candy—though, for a Lennon script, it contains a conspicuous lack of monkey torture. Meredith Blake will just have to find some other reason for enjoying the episode.

Tim Tebow’s Wild Rise (E!, 8 p.m.): Too wholesome for his own E! True Hollywood Story, the NFL’s most popular second-string quarterback instead receives a more flattering look at his meteoric rise to national hero/Internet punching bag.

Marina Ambrović: The Artist Is Present (HBO, 9 p.m.): While it enjoys a limited theatrical run, Matthew Akers’ documentary on performance artist Marina Ambrović ports the unpredictably stirring experience of staring at its subject from the Museum Of Modern Art to your living room.

Danger By Design (Science, 10 p.m.): The reality series profiling acrobat and daredevil Nik Wallenda wraps its first season the way most reality series do: By suspending its star from a moving helicopter, thus bringing new meaning to the term flying trapeze.

Four Houses (TLC, 10 p.m.): Or, its alternate title, Yeah, That’s A Nice House, But Is It Nice Enough To Win You $10,000 And A Spread In Better Homes And Gardens? These Other People With Similarly Nice Houses Will Decide.

Independence Day (AMC, 8 p.m.): Dust off the “St. Crispin’s Day” speech, hold your cigars until the fat lady sings, and salute American independence as the Founding Fathers intended: By watching tentacled, telekinetic extraterrestrials level major cities.

Goldeneye (Encore, 8 p.m.): Before inspiring the single-best game for the Nintendo 64,Pierce Brosnan’s first bow as James Bond brought 007 into the post-Cold War world. Sadly, DK Mode remains locked for cable broadcasts of the film.

MLB Baseball: Yankees at Rays: How competitive is the American League East this season? If the fourth-place Rays were in the Central Division, they’d be vying with the White Sox for first place. Instead, they’re 7.5 games behind a 48-30 Bronx Bombers squad.
