Ricky Gervais makes US stand-up debut at Bowie's festival

Ricky Gervais basically got into comedy in reverse order: First he got famous on TV, then he launched three successful stand-up comedy tours in the UK. Two of them, Animals and Politics, are floating around on DVD in some of your finer video stores, but they've never really been aimed at Americans. He'll give the US a taste in May when he plays David Bowie's High Line Festival in New York, sharing the festival bill with Bowie faves like Secret Machines and Arcade Fire. This isn't the first collaboration between the two.
