The day-after furor that greeted Ricky Gervais’ Golden Globes gig has abated somewhat—unless you’re Judd Apatow—but apparently there’s still some question of whether Gervais would be allowed to do it all over again next year. This despite the fact that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has since publicly distanced itself from Gervais and done everything but organize a “Let The Healing Begin” benefit concert for his supposed victims. Well, let’s put all that to rest: Gervais himself told TMZ that even if they did ask him to return, it doesn’t matter because he’s “not gonna do it again anyway.” This, hopefully, brings to an end the longest amount of time the American populace has ever spent discussing the Golden Globes.
