Right on cue, here is Dave Grohl's expected denial of reports that Foo Fighters are breaking up

No sooner had the most recent vague suggestion that the Foo Fighters might be taking a hiatus or disbanding been met with the most recent round of reports blowing that news out of proportion than Dave Grohl, as he always must, began penning the obligatory statement downplaying those reports. You can read Grohl's letter in full here, though as always, the salient points are these: He likes his band. He likes his band's fans. He never thought they'd make it this far, etc. And no, they're not breaking up, although he says, "I was serious. I'm not sure when the Foo Fighters are going to play again. It feels strange to say that, but it's a good thing for all of us to go away for a while. It's one of the reasons we're still here. Make sense? I never want to NOT be in this band. So, sometimes it's good to just… put it back in the garage for a while…" And thus the circle of "Foo Fighters are going on hiatus" news is complete, until next time.
