Rihanna, Kanye West, and Paul McCartney get all verklempt in a new video

Right around the turn of the New Year Kanye West released “Only One,” a new, family-centric track he recorded with some old Beatle named Paul McCartney. And last week came news that the self-confident dream team was backing up Rihanna on “FourFiveSeconds,” a track that will reportedly pop up on her forthcoming LP. Now the trio has released a video for that cut, complete with coordinating outfits for the disparate trio. The clip finds both Rihanna and West getting all verklempt over both their triumphs and their struggles, while McCartney kind of just hangs out and plays acoustic guitar. And while all that could come off pompous, it’s actually pretty touching, with Rihanna shedding what appear to be real tears at one point.

The duo will reportedly perform the track Sunday night at this year’s Grammy ceremony. It’s also worth noting that if this and “Only One” are typical of the sound of West’s new and hopefully imminently forthcoming material, it could bode well for the rapper’s 2016 Grammy odds—and for Rihanna’s as well.
