We sat down with Riverdale composer Sherri Chung to talk through her five favorite musical moments of the series.

1. Jughead & FP’s heart-to-heart, “Chapter Twenty-One: House Of The Devil”

“It was a fully inspirational moment, and as a composer, especially for film and TV, that’s a really meaningful thing to be really inspired by.”

2. Hiram lies to Jughead, “Chapter Thirty-Four: Judgment Night”

“There’s something kind of sexy about it.”

3. Archie escapes, “Chapter Thirty-Two: Prisoners”

“I was able to take [the Varchie theme], and just give it a whole new thing that we had never really done with it before.”

4. Dinner with the Blossoms, “Chapter Five: Heart Of Darkness”

“That’s where we came up with this high, bowed glass sounds that are kind of putting us into this really uncomfortable world”

5. Cheryl’s themes, various episodes

“Cheryl is so in your face, and it’s really fun to do her type of music.”
