Kevin on Riverdale, played by Casey Cott, has had a particularly tumultuous second season. For his next big role, however, Cott is stepping away from the Bulldogs drama at Riverdale High, and stepping into a Bulldogs costume. Loosely based on director Matthew Perkins’ experiences as Hairy Dawg, the University Of Georgia mascot, The Mascot follows Nick Shepherd (Cott), an ex‐quarterback who dons the Bulldogs costume in search of redemption. At SXSW, we spoke with Perkins and Cott about the upcoming movie.
