At this point in Riverdale’s second season, we’ve accepted that Archie is kind of a dick. Faced with the decision to side with either his friends and family to prevent Southside High from being converted to a for-profit prison, or the evil, antagonistic billionaire who is leading the conversion efforts (who also happens to be the father of his girlfriend), Archie, of course, made the selfish decision. To make matters worst, he kind of treats his dad, played by Luke Perry, like shit, refusing to support him in his campaign for mayor of Riverdale. At a PaleyFest screening of the upcoming musical episode, we talked to Perry and tried to figure out why Archie is such a dick.
