Rivers Cuomo collaborates with Ryan Adams (but still thinks he's a joke)
Scrappy singer-songwriter Ryan Adams is infamous for flying off the handle when people call him Bryan Adams. (Which is a bit head-scratching, seeing as how at this point in Ryan's career, that's pretty much a compliment.) So why is he putting up with that "Play 'Summer Of '69!'" shit from Rivers Cuomo? Because, apparently, they're super-pals: The Weezer frontman recently told MTV that he and Adams The Lesser are collaborating on a new song. Says Cuomo, "I just wrote a song with Ryan Adams. Not Bryan, Ryan. It's a very stirring and emotional and powerful Weezer song. He was really inspiring to work with. […] He has a lot of wild and crazy energy. It's gonna be on the Weezer record. He plays lead guitar on it, but it will be on the Weezer record, for sure." Oh, we guess that means Weezer is working on a new album, too.
