Fire up the Mystery Machine, because it’s time to join Rob Lowe and his sons on their hunt for the supernatural. A&E’s just debuted the first trailer for the series, The Lowe Files, wherein the former Grinder talks about his lifelong interest in unsolved mysteries, like whether or not there really is a Sasquatch or Loch Ness monster, and why anyone would wear a rugby shirt in their 30s. So they set off in search of proof of the supernatural and extraterrestrial, equipped with only their wits, a monster truck, a camera crew—and presumably, a medical response team—as well as some peyote, judging by the looks of that desert scene. Who knows what they’ll see in their 8-episode series, especially after possibly ingesting peyote, but you can join the Lowe men on their quest starting August 2 at 10 p.m. ET on A&E.
