Rob Riggle to join Rob Lowe's sitcom, have fun Rob times

Rob Riggle is set to join Rob Lowe’s previously announced NBC single-camera comedy, The Pro. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the two Robs will star as former tennis doubles champions whose one-time friendship was destroyed by a public feud. Riggle’s character Bobby went on to have an illustrious career after the split, only to wind up “dirt poor and living in a youth hostel.” So, as the laws of sitcoms dictate, the two naturally end up working as co-pros at a tennis and golf club. Since Riggle’s proposed Modern Family spinoff has been put on hold and The Pro has been given a production commitment, both Robs are now doomed to a life of wacky set shenanigans in which they accidentally eat each other’s lunches, mix-up their calltimes, and look up in perfect synchronization when someone yells “Rob!”
