Todd Phillips, director of Old School and the recent hit The Hangover, is set to team up with Hangover star Zach Galifianakis and Robert Downey Jr. for a comedy called Due Date, according to Variety. What can we expect from Due Date?: Here's Variety again:
Downey will play an expectant father who finds himself on a road trip with a mismatched partner, as he races to get there before the birth of his first child.
Galifianakis, who starred for Phillips in “The Hangover,” plays his road trip mate in a comedy that Phillips calls “a buddy comedy without the buddies.”
So, wait, unlike most buddy comedies there will be some kind of conflict? That's innovation! Still, with Galifianakis and Downey on board, this could be promising. Filming starts this fall.
