As reported by the AP, the genealogy website Ancestry.com has discovered that Twilight saga star Robert Pattinson doesn't just play a vampire on the big screen—he's related to one. Or rather, he's distantly related to the medieval Transylvanian ruler Vlad III Dracula, a.k.a Vlad The Impaler, a.k.a the inspiration for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Apparently Pattinson has blood ties to the British royal family, which in turn makes him a distant nephew or somesuch of the infamously bloodthirsty Vlad. The same genealogists claim the Twilight saga's author, Stephanie Meyer, is also part of the brood.
