Robert Redford takes his insidious plans for film festival domination overseas

Robert Redford has announced that he plans to launch a London edition of the Sundance Film Festival next year, a four-day transatlantic partner that will take place April 26 through April 29 at the O2. In a statement, Redford said that he hopes to bring to the U.K. “the very best in current American cinema,” thereby slightly alleviating the sad state of British film, which is composed almost entirely of loops of men in dresses falling comically into the Thames.
