Respected rock journalist (those things exist!) Michael Azerrad, author of the essential Our Band Could Be Your Life, has launched a new website called The Talkhouse. The publication's primary feature type—so far, anyway—is artist-on-artist essays: For example, Andrew W.K. marvels at Robert Pollard's prolific genius, and Dessa goes ga-ga for Fiona Apple. If that all sounds a little less critical and a little more "rah-rah" that's because it is. ("Robert Pollard is a cum engine," says W.K.) The site also promises interaction between the subject and author of each piece—it'll be interesting to see where that goes.
