Film critic, and one of few people who could prompt The A.V. Club to advocate violence in his defense, Roger Ebert has a puzzling post on his site suggesting that creationism should be taught as "an alternative to the theory of evolution" and answering some frequently asked questions in the form of a FAQ.
Why post this? And why now? Who knows. But Ebert's opinions have long stretched beyond film. He's frequently criticized the George W. Bush administration, offered as good of a critique of the Sarah Palin candidacy as I've read, and presented a a unique notion of what should be done with the World Trade Center site.
