Roger Waters doing another Wall tour next year
Roger Waters has added a few mountains of money to the veritable range of cash-topped peaks in his bank accounts after staging The Wall all over the country in recent years. But the former Pink Floyd mastermind isn't stopping there; as his old band's albums get the reissue treatment, Waters is plotting another Wall tour in 2012 that will hit markets he didn't visit the first time, with a special emphasis on "Saturday nights in baseball stadiums," he told Rolling Stone. "As we speak, I'm at my office working on an outdoor version of the show."
Tour dates haven't been announced yet, but Waters hinted where the tour is likely headed as he gets The Wall ready for its first outdoor tour. "We're going to be projecting over 140 yards," he said. "So now it's going to be 1,500 pixels wide. We've done light tests and Fenway Park and Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium just to see what the ambient light is like. And it's fine. It works. We've taken part of the Wall and the projectors into those three places."
