As a founding member of Pink Floyd, Roger Waters helped trip out the masses with the band’s multiplatinum monoliths, Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall. Waters famously left the band in 1985, and though Pink Floyd continued on without him—it’s currently prepping its first album in 20 years, the mostly instrumental The Endless River—Waters would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that he’s still not in Pink Floyd, thank you very much.
In a Facebook post, Waters—who has reunited on stage with his Pink Floyd bandmates, and toured in support of Dark Side Of The Moon and The Wall over the past decade—wonders how anyone could mistake him for a current member of the band. In the note, Waters restates, “I left Pink Floyd in 1985, that’s 29 years ago,” adding, “This is not rocket science people”—all before offering his opinions on the current conflict between Israel and Gaza, all of which he offered with love.
