Roman Polanski will give Switzerland another chance to honor him without arresting him
After Roman Polanski’s last journey to Zurich to collect a lifetime achievement award was waylaid by that whole bothersome rape-of-an-underage-girl thing, the director will try again, returning to the exact same film festival to collect the exact same honor, this time with the expectation that he will at least make it out of the airport. According to the press release, Polanski’s appearance at the Sept. 27 ceremony will not be followed by any interviews. Probably because he’s just so tired of discussing the making of Carnage and just wants to relax, you know?
