Roseanne Barr is opening a marijuana dispensary in California

Like so many failed presidential candidates before her, Roseanne Barr has had to come up with a new way to occupy her time that doesn’t involve running the United States. Also like so many failed presidential candidates before her, Roseanne Barr has now decided to fill that hole by selling pot—legally, of course. This comes from The Orange County Register (via Jezebel), which reports that Barr has invested in and signed a licensing deal with a dispensary in California that will be named Roseanne’s Joint. The OC Register says the Joint will sell “marijuana products bearing its name,” including “unique pot strains” and “pot-laced, chocolate-covered macadamia nuts” (you know, for medical reasons) that are sourced from the very nut farm made famous by the Roseanne’s Nuts reality show. Construction on Roseanne’s Joint is supposed to begin in April, with the dispensary actually opening its doors at some point after that.

This news comes about a week after Woody Harrelson announced plans to open a dispensary of his own in Hawaii. Hopefully the next celebrity to lend their name to a venture like this will be someone a little less obvious, though. Maybe George Clooney or Tom Hanks? Their weed would probably be pretty sweet (in a medically beneficial way).
