“Rowdy” Roddy Piper fixes toilets and battles monsters in the Portal To Hell trailer
We’re not sure how the math checks out on this, but earlier this month we reported on The Masked Saint, which some people are referring to as “Rowdy” Roddy Piper’s final film. Now, though, we have this trailer for Portal To Hell, which other people are referring to as Piper’s final film. One is a faith-based drama about a pastor who fights crime as a masked vigilante (and isn’t played by Piper), while the other is a short horror film where Piper stars as a janitor who has to clean up the ultimate mess (a certain spooky portal). If we have to choose between the two, we think we’re going to pick Portal To Hell as our preferred “Rowdy” Roddy Piper final film. It’s got clogged toilets, “broken” toasters, and what looks like a gross tentacle monster. No offense to faith-based dramas, but we love a good tentacle monster.
Portal To Hell was funded on Indiegogo, and it’ll clock in at 11 minutes. No word on when you’ll be able to see it, though, unless you’re going to the Toronto International Film Festival. Also, Piper was in a bunch of movies that haven’t been released yet, so this “final film” thing will almost certainly pop up again.
