RSVP to FLOODfest for a chance to see some Lollapalooza acts for free
If you can’t afford to go to Lollapalooza, or simply can’t bring yourself to brave the swarm of sweaty fans at Grant Park this weekend, FLOODfest has you covered. Co-sponsored by The A.V. Club, the Lolla-adjacent event is in its second year, and will be held smack-dab in the middle of the goings-on of Perry Farrell’s music festival on Saturday, July 30. You can RSVP for free via Do312 to see Local Natives, Classixx, and Baio (a.k.a Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio) from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.
The actual venue for FLOODfest hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s probably near Grant Park, since the event will take place after Baio’s Lolla performance (Local Natives and Classixx’s are scheduled to play on Sunday). The event is 21 and over and is first come, first served. In the interim, enjoy FLOOD Magazine’s Lollapalooza Spotify playlist.
