Ruff Ryders stop, drop, open up shop for a 20th anniversary tour
After a 20th anniversary celebration this past April that saw labelmates DMX, Swizz Beats, Eve, and more sharing the stage at at Brooklyn’s Barclay Center, the crew behind venerable late ‘90s-early ‘00s hip-hop label Ruff Ryders have decided to all don their jerseys and hop on their respective jet skis, dune buggies, and/or motorcycles and head out on tour, Billboard reports.
The tour begins this September in Miami, then travels across the south from North Carolina to Texas before three nights out west in L.A., Oakland, and Las Vegas. DMX, Eve, Swizz Beatz, the Lox, and Drag-On will all be there for the entirety of the tour, with Fat Joe—who was never formally signed to the label—on board for all but the final leg. You can see the full list of tour dates, as well as reminisce about the summer of 1998 with DMX and “Ruff Ryders’ Anthem,” below.
