Runaway Brother offers cooing contentment on “Xeric”
Cleveland’s Runaway Brother has slowly built a name for itself across its three EPs, and its latest 7-inch for Soft Speak Records sees the quintet at its refined best. The A.V. Club is premiering the 7-inch’s B-side, “Xeric,” below, which sees the band fall in line with Philadelphia’s Modern Baseball, leading with off-kilter vocal deliveries before conjuring an anthemic cornucopia of pop-punk and jangly indie-rock.
“Xeric” can be heard a below, and pre-orders for the 7-inch can be had via Soft Speak Records. Runaway Brother has also signed to Tiny Engines for its debut full-length, which will be out this fall.
