RuPaul is ready to make game show contestants Gay For Play
RuPaul is ready to extend his drag-queen-based TV empire even further, announcing today the air date for a new game show, Gay For Play Game Show Starring RuPaul, set to debut on Logo on April 11. The new series will see the Drag Race host pepper contestants with pop culture questions, naked dudes, and more camp than a thousand episodes of Salute Your Shorts.

According to the press release for the series, RuPaul is hoping to evoke “the gay voices from my TV youth, like Paul Lynde and Charles Nelson Reilly”—a choice emphasized by the series’ Match Game-esque set. Contestants will answer questions with the possible assistance of the show’s celebrity panel, which is stuffed with Logo-friendly celebs and social media stars like Amber Rose, Real Housewife Brandi Granville, and Mindy Cohn from The Facts Of Life. The show also has some celebrity specials on the books, allowing us all to finally learn whether Jerry O’Connell knows more about the origins of the term “va-jay-jay” than his wife Rebecca Romijn, and witness the final, presumably fatal, showdown between 227 stars Marla Gibbs and Jackée Harry.
