Ryan Lochte will groove alongside Rick Perry on Dancing With The Stars
What do you do after you’ve competed in the Olympics and started an international scandal with your lies? For Ryan Lochte, the answer is not “go to Disneyland”—it’s “become a contestant on Dancing With The Stars,” apparently. America’s preeminent douchebro is ready to shimmy his way to redemption on season 23 of the ABC show. The full cast was announced early today on Good Morning America, and it’s a curious bunch. The non-Lochte participant most likely to provoke head-shaking and proclamations of “lol” and/or “holy shit” is former Texas Governor Rick Perry, though that’s mostly because these days, Republican presidential candidates are reality stars before they run for public office.
Author/talk show host/general celebrity Amber Rose will also be competing, as will Vanilla Ice and Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. But Laurie Hernandez, Olympic gymnast and member of the Fab five, seems poised to win the whole shebang. (Come on, have you seen her floor routine?) The rest of the group is a mix of sitcom actresses of yore (Maureen McCormick, Marilu Henner), a former football player (Calvin Johnson), a race car driver (James Hinchcliffe), and more.
