Ryan Murphy's next Netflix original will revisit the "Golden Age of Tinseltown"

As part of his huge development deal with Netflix, Ryan Murphy’s going to Hollywood, The Wrap reports. The American Crime Story mastermind announced the series via his own Instagram account on Friday afternoon.

Described as “a love letter to the Golden Age of Tinseltown,” Hollywood is set to begin principal photography over the summer. Murphy is once again teaming up with fellow Glee and Scream Queens co-creator Ian Brennan, and the show already has a straight-to-series order. There aren’t any other details at the moment, but it should be noted that while Hollywood is the Murphy’s first Netflix original under his $300 million deal, it’s the third series overall that he’s developing for the streamer. There’s also the previously announced Ratched, a One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest prequel starring American Horror Story repertory player Sarah Paulson, and The Politician, which will star Barbra Streisand and Gwyneth Paltrow, just in case you had any doubt that Murphy is the right person to helm a loving look back at Hollywood’s golden age.
