RZA will also be in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained
We’d just finished tossing out the last watery dregs of the potato salad at our “Django Unchained Castin’ & Slave Torturin’ Wrap-Up” picnic, when suddenly Quentin Tarantino decided to add a few more notable names to his already plenty stuffed Southern revenge flick. Though most of the major roles have been filled, there are no small slave-and-slave-torturin’ parts in Django Unchained, only potentially small actors to fill them—which is why Tarantino’s Kill Bill collaborator RZA has signed on to bring a motherfuckin’ period-appropriate ruckus to his role as a violent slave working a Mississippi plantation while standing up to his oppressors, bong bong. Other recently cast additions include Anthony LaPaglia (who joins Joseph Gordon-Levitt as a pair of Australian slave-trading brothers) and Frozen River actress Misty Upham (who plays a bar owner), though neither of them have any associated hip-hop catchphrases. “LaPaglia” might do, depending on the forcefulness of the pronunciation. Big Pun probably could have made it work.
