Sensual salt sprinkler/future Ben Stiller vehicle Nusret Gökçe, otherwise known as the chef behind the Salt Bae meme, is planning to open an outpost of his Turkish restaurant in America.
According to Hurriyet Daily News, Gökçe, a name we could only type by Ctrl-C, followed by Ctrl-V, is expanding his chain of Nusr-Et steakhouses into New York City and London in 2017. Its website claims the restaurant to be “meatlovers’ favorite address.”
We would otherwise not give two shits about a chef opening a restaurant, if it weren’t for 8.4 million people watching his Instagram video, which shows Gökçe—donning sunglasses of mystery—carve a bone-in steak like a sexy beast, climaxing in a final flamboyant flourish of sea salt, like Emeril’s signature bam! but more liable to curl toes and roll eyes to back of heads.
