During a segment on this week’s episode of Full Frontal, Samantha Bee investigated the following question: Will rampant misogyny continue when, let’s not mince words here, Hillary Clinton takes office? Why of course! Bee met up with female leaders from around the world to hear about the sexist shit they’ve endured while in office. The president of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, explained that when you Google her, the results yield bikini-clad images of Coco Austin instead. It’s true, and, frankly, both Grabar-Kitarović and Austin are fed up with that.
Bee is sent on this journey by none other than “former Secretary of State and fellow nasty woman” Madeleine Albright. Bee did find two slices of hope: The experiences of Marshall Islands; President Hilda Heine and an adorable anecdote about Albright’s granddaughter. If the rest of the world can just act like a tiny nation in the Pacific Ocean and a 7-year-old, we just might have a future that isn’t so damn bleak.
