Samuel L. Jackson will be in that xXx-treme sequel with Vin Diesel

Perhaps worried that his recent performances haven’t been sufficiently extreme, Samuel L. Jackson is heading back to the Xander Zone, i.e., the xXx movie franchise (and boy, is it ever important to stylize that properly when you’re Googling it). Intermittently gnarly thrasher Vin Diesel shared the news online as he’s done with virtually every other announcement regarding the sequel, including its very existence. Diesel let his Facebook fans know that Jackson would reprise the role of NSA Agent Gibbons, whom we last saw in xXx: State Of The Union advising someone who was not Xander Cage or Vin Diesel (it was Ice Cube).

Despite also having another Fast & Furious film in the works, Diesel’s waxed on about the xXx sequel on all of his social media accounts. Here’s an Instagram video of concept art for the next trip into the Xander (does not rhyme with “Danger”) Zone, and it looks like an asteroid will punch the Earth. Also, Xander will apparently surf-motorcycle and later cut off an 18-wheeler on a skateboard. Now we understand why Jackson’s on board again.
