Samuel L. Jackson will try to save gravity in Inversion
Samuel L. Jackson is set to add “the concept of gravity” to the very large list of things he’s tried to save in movies. (See also: Troubled teens, ghost-hunting John Cusacks, and this motherfucking plane.) Variety reports that Jackson has signed on for a role in the upcoming sci-fi movie Inversion, playing a senior Homeland Security agent pursuing two people (protagonists Liu Yifei and “street-wise American con man” Travis Fimmel) that he thinks are responsible for “a terrifying loss of gravity” affecting the Earth.
The film is being directed by Peter Segal, who who’re just going to assume has had his fair share of those “Hey, what if the floor was, like, the ceiling?” conversations that tend to crop up when people are sufficiently bored and/or stoned. Segal’s mostly known for comedy, not science fiction; some of his other films include 50 First Dates, Get Smart, and Tommy Boy.
