Santa Jaws is chumming to town
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Tuesday, August 14. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Santa Jaws (Syfy, 9 p.m.): This Sunday, August 19, we say goodbye to Sharknado, the unlikely franchise spawned from the ocean’s most fearsome predator, mother nature’s scariest winds, and the Syfy marketing team’s deadliest wordplay. But the American viewing public isn’t completely off the hook just yet: Look no further than this Christmas-themed schlockfest, a jokey sharksploitation vehicle that’s also a Home Alone parody. When Cody wishes to spend the holiday on his own, Santa Jaws grants his wish by gobbling up his family members like so much milk and cookies.
Regular coverage
Wild card
Murder By Numbers (ID, 9 p.m.): The true crime docuseries returns with an episode titled “Monster Among Us.” Our guess: The monster is the shark disguised as the jolly avatar of holiday cheer.
