Sarah Paulson to star in M. Night Shyamalan’s Split / Unbreakable crossover

Variety reports that Sarah Paulson, star of almost every Story Ryan Murphy seems to want to tell, has joined the cast of another expanding property. The Cult actress will make her way to M. Night Shyamalan’s own superhero universe as part of Glass, the sequel/crossover event that will merge his hits, Split and Unbreakable. The director broke the news himself via a tweet in which he calls Paulson a “powerhouse.”

There’s no word on who Paulson will be playing in the movie, or whether she’ll side with The Horde (as played by James McAvoy), Bruce Willis’ David Dunn, or Mr. Glass himself, Samuel L. Jackson. But she has wielded all kinds of awesome powers in American Horror Story, unleashed her legal acumen in American Crime Story, and she’ll also possibly show a lil’ prestidigitation in Ocean’s Eight, so we won’t be surprised to see her battling it out with the rest of the lead actors.

Glass is due out January 18, 2019.
