Sarah Paulson will subject herself to the whims of Ryan Murphy for another season of American Horror Story. As TV Line reports, the news that she will appear on the sixth season of the anthology series came out at the Television Critics Association summer press tour yesterday. This is in no way a particularly surprising revelation given Paulson’s loyalty to the franchise, but she had been holding out on making the announcement. Lady Gaga, on the other hand, let slip that she’d be back in March.
Details about the Paulson’s character are sparse, given that FX is being intentionally vague about the upcoming arc. At the TCAs, the network’s CEO John Landgraf said that only one of the promos that has been released alludes to the actual plot. The rest are “misdirects.” Meanwhile, set photos obtained by TMZ suggest that perhaps this upcoming season will deal in some way with the Roanoke Colony. Regardless, we’re betting it will start out intriguing and then get messier as it goes along.
