It’s been 20 years since Sarah Silverman was fired from Saturday Night Live, but she makes her triumphant return this weekend as host. In these new promos, Silverman and cast member Taran Killam make light of Silverman’s brief tenure, with Silverman saying she’s excited to reprise all her old characters (“Captain Irishman, Sally St. Drugs, Table Girl…”). She also notes that her return to SNL is a positive step for women—and a bit of a shame, considering it’s taken SNL a full two weeks to have a woman host this season. Preach, sister.
