"Save Steve Holt," asks the guy who played Steve Holt on Arrested Development
Amid the insistent, if still slightly vague clamor surrounding the upcoming return of Arrested Development, you may have noticed the absence of one oft-repeated name—that of “Steve Holt,” the blissfully ignorant, illegitimate Bluth and living catchphrase. As it turns out, actor Justin Grant Wade hasn’t yet been asked to reprise his role as the well-meaning yet frustratingly dense jock, leading Wade and a group of friends to campaign for his return in much the same way that his character campaigned for school president: by repeating his name as often as possible across a variety of social media, beginning with driving supporters to SaveSteveHolt.com, where you can even buy a “Save Steve Holt” T-shirt, if you want to demonstrate your full commitment (to demanding the inclusion of a tertiary supporting character on the Netflix revival of a canceled cult television show) by taking it to the streets.
And if you have any further questions about how you can help—or you just want to know what the guy who played Steve Holt has been up to in these intervening years—you can watch a recent video interview with Wade about the Steve Holt campaign here, or join Wade for one of Reddit’s “Ask Me Anything” sessions tonight at 8 p.m. ET, where you can ask Wade anything about being Steve Holt and also sometimes not being Steve Holt. Steve Holt!
