Say goodbye to The Gifted

Say goodbye to The Gifted

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Tuesday, February 26. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

The Gifted (Fox, 9 p.m., second season finale): It’s been a while since we checked in on The Gifted, and boy, things aren’t looking so good for old Reed Strucker, are they?

The good news is, perilous is a pretty good position from which to start a season finale. The bad news: The Gifted has yet to be renewed for a third season, so it’s possible that this finale may be its last. Here’s hoping for a good fight or two, some top-tier scenery-chewing, and a recap from our own Jesse Hassenger. (We can guarantee that last one.)

Regular coverage

Wild card

Good Trouble (Freeform, 8 p.m.): We’re overdue for a look at this acclaimed Freeform series, a spinoff of The Fosters that’s messier than its predecessor—and that’s not a complaint. In a perfect world you’d start this journey at the beginning, and not at episode eight (you won’t need to have watched The Fosters to follow the action, but the first seven episodes are probably pretty important). Still, if you want to pick a starting point that’s not the pilot, you could do worse than this week’s episode, which features a guest turn from To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before charmer Noah Centineo.
