Scandal-inspired clothing line does not include a white hat

Those viewers who are still watching Scandal only for Olivia Pope’s seemingly endless wardrobe of beautiful black-and-white coats and perfectly tailored suits (no judgment here—that’s as good a reason as any to keep watching at this point) are in luck, as The Limited has just announced a Pope-inspired clothing line. Working with Kerry Washington and Scandal costume designer Lyn Paolo, the line marks The Limited’s first Hollywood collaboration. The Shonda Rhimes-created show, which airs on ABC, wrapped up its third season in April, with Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope and her team of gladiators attempting to handle business in the face of politically motivated murders, family secrets, and epic monologues.

The line will reportedly include tops, pants, jackets, and “heroic outerwear pieces”—no hats, white or otherwise, are mentioned—and range from $49 to $248. No photos have been released for the line, which launches in late September, but presumably it will be based on a palette of white, black, and gray. Red wine and popcorn not included. [via The Hollywood Reporter]
