Scarlett Johansson records cooing tribute to French singer Serge Gainsbourg
Noted Tom Waits fan Scarlett Johansson is also apparently into Serge Gainsbourg: The actress and sort-of-singer has teamed up with the French crooner’s son, Lulu, to cover “Bonnie And Clyde,” one of the elder Gainsbourg’s most famous tracks. The single—which features lots of Gainsbourg cooing en français and Johannson saying both “Bonnie” and “Parker"—will be a part of the younger Gainsbourg’s tribute album to his father, From Gainsbourg To Lulu, out Oct. 30 on MBM Records. The album also features collaborations with Rufus Wainwright, Iggy Pop, and the now-defunct couple Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
