Sean Bean to co-star in the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending as a guy who doesn't die for at least a little while

Fresh off his casting in TNT’s Legends as a guy who is probably alive for at least a reasonable amount of time, Sean Bean has landed a role in Jupiter Ascending, the next top-secret and likely a little goofy sci-fi project from Lana and Andy Wachowski. Bean joins previously confirmed stars Mila Kunis, as—according to the typically convoluted plot description that looks terrible when it's all written out like this—a Russian immigrant cleaning lady who shares the same DNA with the Queen of the Universe, and Channing Tatum as the bounty hunter the Queen dispatches to kill Kunis, only to fall in love with her, Snow White-style-but-in-space. Deadline reports that Bean will play “Stinger,” a character described as a “Han Solo-type,” presumably in the sense that he constantly gets into situations where you think he’s about to die. But he won't, at least not for a little while.
