Sean Hayes and Mike Schur developing LGBTQ spy cartoon for Netflix
As reported by TV Line, The Good Place’s Mike Schur is developing a new Netflix animated series alongside Will & Grace’s Sean Hayes called Q-Force. The streaming service has already given the project a 10-episode order, with the official description saying it focuses on “a handsome secret agent and his team of fellow LGBTQ superspies” who are “constantly underestimated by their colleagues” and must “prove themselves times and again as they embark on extraordinary professional (and personal) adventures.” The short version of that is that Q-Force is about a team of LGBTQ spies, with the leader being a gay James Bond-type (or maybe a Sterling Archer-type, since this will be an animated series). Gabe Liedman from Brooklyn Nine-Nine is acting as showrunner.
TV Line says there’s a “rumor” that Hayes will voice the main character, but that hasn’t been confirmed just yet. Any other cast members beyond that—and including that, technically—have not been announced yet.
