Django Unchained has only been out about a week and it’s already inspired parodies and tributes, including this very clever YouTube video which re-imagines Quentin Tarantino’s blood-splattered, wildly divisive Western as a wacky 1980s sitcom pairing Jamie Foxx with Reginald VelJohnson, Nikki Cox, Damon Wayans, Mo’Nique, and an uncredited Garrett Morris. The clip perfectly captures the vacuity and mugging of terrible sitcoms of yore, right down to the earwig of an irritatingly infectious opening theme.
