See Weezer hail the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll on The Tonight Show

Truly, friends, the war is over. The nerds have won. That centuries-long struggle was finally put to rest last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo appeared on TV in a white spangled Elvis jumpsuit and silly wig and no one gave him a wedgie or anything. They probably even told him he did a good job afterwards. See here for yourself:

Cuomo and his Weezer bandmates were on the show to promote their new record Weezer (The White Album), which comes out today. They performed “King of the World,” which, while not one of the lead tracks off of the album, still made for a rousing live performance, as well as containing a rather delightful lyrical reference to CVS.
