In the comedy special—written by Upright Citizens Brigade co-founder Matt Besser and You’re The Worst writer Eva Anderson—Richter and his wife (played by Lauren Lapkus) will host to all of your favorite holiday characters, such as Santa Claus (Eddie Pepitone) Sappity Tappity The Talking Christmas Tree (Jon Daly), Piano Playing Uncle (Mike Cassady), and Talking Gift (Allan McLeod).
Coming just a year after Bill Murray’s A Very Murray Christmas for Netflix, we can only hope that this signals the start of a trend. There are worse fates that could befall mankind than a series of seminal oddball comedians getting festive on our TV screens every year.
