Variety has news of an in-the-works film bio of famed French singer Serge Gainsbourg, whose journey from life as Jewish kid in WWII Paris to lecherous international stardom would be tough not to make into an interesting movie. The talent behind it is interesting too: It will be directed Joann Sfar, the graphic novelist best know for The Rabbi's Cat. Eric Elmosnino (we've never heard of him either) will play Gainsbourg. Laetitia Casta will play Brigitte Bardot, one of Gainsbourg's more high-profile lovers.
