Sesame Street learns about the afterlife thanks to Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
Mylo The Cat is the mashup maestro responsible for Gonzo killing “The Humpty Dance,” as well as clips of Doug Funnie rapping Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen” and Ice Cube’s “It Was a Good Day.” The viral video ninja strikes YouTube gold again with a new video conflating Sesame Street with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s sobering smash “Tha Crossroads.” In the clip, Grover, Cookie Monster, and Telly—who represent the individual Bone vocalists in the song—are appropriately chastened as they tackle tough topics such as death, heaven, and God. Weirdly enough, the video doesn’t feel that much different than an actual episode of Sesame Street, which is both a testament to Mylo The Cat’s mashup skills and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s ability to tap into primal, sad emotions.
