Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet?

Judd Apatow disciple Seth Rogen is finalizing a deal to write, executive produce, and star in a bigscreen adaption of The Green Hornet, the story of millionaire publisher Brit Reid's double life as a masked crime fighter. (Fun fact: The Green Hornet is The Lone Ranger's grand-nephew. Look it up!) The kicked-around project has languished in recent years—despite the attachment of, at various stages, George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, and Jake Gyllenhaal—as it was seen as somewhat old-fashioned compared to modern superhero stories. Rogen is apparently going for a "comedic take" (although there's no talk of Michael Cera and Jonah Hill playing bumbling G-men…yet), and has already stated he would like Hong Kong director and comedic actor Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle) to play Kato, the role made famous by Bruce Lee in the 1960s TV series.
