As it wouldn’t be a Seth Rogen sausage party without Seth Rogen’s usual sausage party, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Michael Cera, and David Krumholtz have all joined the cast of Sausage Party, the upcoming animated movie in which Seth Rogen plays a talking sausage running amok in a supermarket. More than just the greatest union of voice and venue since Pavarotti sang at La Scala, the anthropomorphizing of Rogen’s rich, sausage-y tones will also be a reunion of his and co-writer Evan Goldberg’s crew from This Is The End, which was a sausage party in a slightly less literal sense.
Here they’ll all be actual sausages, or other cuts of meat, or alternate food products that will presumably have some shade of their actors’ personalities, such as Michael Cera playing a wilted celery stalk, or James Franco playing a multilayered shallot who’s also been used as an anal bead. They’ll be joined by a few relative newcomers to Rogen’s gang, including Nick Kroll, Edward Norton, and Kristen Wiig—since every sausage party needs at least one piece of pie, y’know what I’m sayin’? If so, then you will enjoy this movie.
